It's here!!! Christmas season and the countdown has finally begun! For the majority of us, we begin getting into the festive holiday mood when December begins. There is that "special" group of individuals who begin the countdown in the summer {{oh come on, you know who you are...}}.
For those of us that see Christmas as another reason to get crafty, we get to pull out the Christmas craft supplies, purchase a few new things and start making gifts, decorations and yes...Christmas cards! Every year presents the challenge of making Christmas cards that exceed the creativity levels of years gone by right? I love making cards and this years is no different!
My first batch is basic but oh so adorable!!! Can you have an ugly Christmas card if Santa is on it? I think not!! This collection is made from red and white card stock, the white has been embossed with my CB snowflake folder. The Santa image is from my new set from Inkadinkado. I stamped Santa with stazon and added just a smidgen of color to his face. Around the hat and beard I used some lace stickles just to give some sparkle. I placed Santa on top of a scalloped circle {spellbinders} and set this on top of the ribbon with dimensional. I added some red stickles around the snowflakes, made my bows using the bow easy { here's where I got mine from
- it has a great tutorial and chart for sizes!}I've got 11 of these ready to mail out....now it's time to focus on the Poinsettia cards using my new "His Gift" stamp set from ODBD{love it!!!} I think I may also try to squeeze out a few gift sets as an excuse to make more of these!
Hope you enjoy! Until next time.
